SWITZERLAND & DEFENSE ATTORNEYS FOR ABUSED ANIMALS

Posted by craftyveggie in Untagged

This week something took place in the country of Switzerland that has changed the conversation on animal rights forever.  In a nutshell hat country put to the vote, whether or not Defense Attorneys should be appointed to all abused animals.   Apparently, there is currently one defense attorney handling abused animals.   We can just imagine the conversation amongst fisherman and hunters.  According to a NPR story, a fisherman was recently charged with abuse by leaving a Pike dangling far too long on the hook.

The battle for animals rights has been over 2,000 years and our vegan voices are being raised in a chorus so loud, the din is now reaching deep into the legal and justice systems.    That the Swiss voters unanimously voted against this doesn't mean it won't happen in time to come.   The fact that it appeard on a national ballot is the first step to ultimate victory for the animals.

Only WE can continue to chip away as vigorously as we have been doing, to liberate the animals and stop the torture pain and abuse that is each second of each day  being exacted upon them.    The thought that as I type this, billions of animals are being skinned alive, electrocuted and murdered in slaughterhouses and farms is sickening.    We must live daily for them the same way our recent ancesters  did to end human slavery and apartheid.   We have voices, the animals don't.

TILLY UPDATE - FREE TILLY & NECN

Posted by craftyveggie in Untagged

Today at approx. 1 p.m. New England Cable News aired a press conference by SeaWorld on the death of Dawn the Whale trainer.   Notable were the words used by the spokesperson.  "Product"  "training"  "entertainment"  etc.   People say they love animals.  They really don't.  Because if they did, there would be a nationwide boycott of any and all aquariums who "keep" dolphins and "train" them for entertainment purposes.

Also noticeable in this interview was that NO questions asked could be heard by the viewer.  Isn't that interesting and plain suspicious?  We don't know what this spokesperson was asked or by whom.

Please spread the word.  FREE TILLY.  FREE ALL CAPTIVE DOLPHINS who just want what we do - to be free.  Isn't it a small thing to ask?

FREE TILLY

Posted by craftyveggie in Untagged

The news that a trainer at Seaworld in Florida was drowned and killed by Tilly the killer whale is making headline news.  That Tilly and many other killer whales in captivity have drowned aquarium staff doesn't appear to switch on the smart chip in peoples brains.

Animals were NEVER meant to be enslaved, whether human animal or non-human animal.    I have little if any sympathy for "trainers" who are drowned by those they are attempting to "train" for the corporate world to grow rich off of.   Some things in life are common sense.  It isn't common sense to get into an environment completely foreign to the human animal and expect good results.

Seaworld is a cruel place for dolphins of all species as are all aquariums who seek to profit off the demise of fast disappearing sea life.  It's a travesty and I hope this accident brings to the fore the fact that we need to halt absolutely all enslavement of other species.    Shut down the entertainment aquariums and FREE TILLY!!

George Orwell 1984 Bush and Obama

Posted by craftyveggie in Untagged

I feel as though I am living in the above author's book.  We are being fed screaming and hysterical warmongering information constantly and without any reprieve.  A handsome young man attempted to board a 'plane on Xmas day to blow it up is being yelled at me on NPR and every online news paper and TV news channel every second of every day.  This therefore, is fueling my belief that the govt. is searching for a diversion?  Has it been doing this for ever or just for the past 9 years??  Obama has now pushed Bush policies to a whole new disgusting level.   We wouldn't be experiencing any kind of terrorism if we weren't the warmongering nation we are.  People hate us because they're afraid we will invade them next.  Just can't keep our skicky little hands to ourselves can we?

I'm witnessing the Broederbonder movement here which is exactly the same as I witnessed in apartheid south africa under the white governing regime.  I'm white, and feel I can therefore recognize white policies quite easily.   The GOP continues its brave attempt at "pro-life" by protesting the killing of unborn innocents.  But they cannot disguise their hypocrisy  double standards and foothold on power.  Don't they know yet?  Pro-life means ALL life, not just unborn white babies.

The spread of the vegan "gospel" will only help bring about peace.   But for now, it's 1984 Orwell style.

Real Tigers and Tiger Woods

Posted by craftyveggie in Untagged

Do we really care about Tiger Woods?  I'm not into golfing as so many people are so perhaps this is "my" problem but I find such hypocrisy with the media.   The media creates frenzies and really, the rest of us are voiceless to a large degree.   I  wonder what most people think?  After all, isn't this an issue between Woods and his wife and inner circle?  He's not taking my tax dollars like Clinton or other politicians who make the mistake of mixing sex with business.

My opinion is that we are very much controlled by the media and they create these circuses to drive us away from things that really matter.  Like killing people through wars and foods, our dysfunctional society and the plight of our mother earth.

Real tigers are rare in the wild.  And latest stats show a frightening reality that these magnificent non-human animals may not be around  very much longer.  These are the things I feel we should be focusing on.  NOT the private lives of individuals who happen to be sports or other celebs.    We know Woods had a rather abusive father. So did I.  This is a large club of abuse that many billions of us human animals belong to.  It is probably the root cause of his wonderings, but he has to deal with us and the press should but out.  Unless it's an individual taking tax payer money, it's none of our business, and should NOT undercut the real problems in this world we are facing.        CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN?  I don't think so!

FUR

Posted by craftyveggie in Untagged

Did anyone watch the Wed. night Xmas special on (I think) it was NBC where the lighting of the Rockerfeller Plaza Xmas tree took place?  The Xmas special included guests such as Arethra Franklin and Barry (multiple face lift I now look like a girl corpse) Barry Manilow?

Arethra Franklin, already a living carcass from the slaughterhouse she consumes daily, looked and sounded the worst I've ever seen her.  Swathed in dead animals and fighting off the collar attempting to rightfully choke her in the pouring rain.   Why is it still OK for individuals to wear the skins of murdered animals?  Of course this is a stupid question.

I must be thankful that things have come a long way baby since I turned Vegan in 1986 when it really was a dirty word.  Dr. OZ now promotes it many times on his show, Oprah has tried it and Bless Ellen DeGeneres who has really put it to the forefront.

Please let us all inundate NBC and Arethra Franklin with our voices.  Wearing dead animals is not ethical, moral or kind.  If you want to sing gospel, then LIVE IT!!!

HAPPY PEACEFUL THANKSGIVING DAY!

Posted by craftyveggie in Untagged

Here we are and who is as exhausted, tired and sick as I am, of hearing "happy turkey day" the day before thanksgiving day?    I'd like to eradicate this altogether.    Certainly the poor GMO modified turkeys aren't happy, those shot or chopped by farmers are not happy!

What are you eating?  We had tofu, mashed 'taters, pumpkin, sweet potato, baby spinach salad.  Nice and simple.  For desert, sweet potato pie and pumpkin cheesecake - all vegan naturally.  Now that's giving thanks!!

BLOG ACTION DAY

Posted by craftyveggie in Untagged

Todays the day we can really raise our voices regarding climate change and food choices.  The carbon footprint of slaughterhouses and war is interconnected.  Isn't this ironic?

Please Tweet, blog blog blog to get the word out.  Peace begins on our plate and the reversal of climate catastrophe sits squarely with us!!   Ahimsa!

Julie and Julia and A Legacy of Hating Animals

Posted by craftyveggie in Untagged

I'd like to call upon Vegans to boycott this movie currently out on the circuits starring Meryl Streep who portrays Julia Child.  We all know Ms. Child hated Vegetarians and said so, making her disdain and contempt for us perfectly plain.

Child was taken on a "visit" to a slaughterhouse to witness the conditions of veal and their horrible demise.   This horrendous episode did NOT alter her heart and mind, and she used the opportunity to  continue to belittle vegetarianism and animals.

Without question, Child was a specieist, and in my opinion, akin to a Nazi.   She built her career on the pain, torture and death of so many voiceless millions when she knew better.  And perhaps that's the saddest part of all.  She knew better.

I'm prepared to bet a heap of money that she didn't die "well".  Child was probably on every statin and had  multiple stents perhaps even bypass?  She also had raging osteoporosis and looked hideous.  What she murdered very possibly ended up murdering her.  We are what we eat after all.

Too bad Streep had to stoop to playing this woman who deserves no admiration.

Please do check out www.change.org and the animal rights section.  Stephanie Ernst always writes outstanding columns and you can comment too.  She has a great one currently on Child.  Blessings to you all!
