NOTE: The vodka (or any other type of alcohol) is the secret to a soft sorbet. Alcohol itself does not freeze and adding a little bit keeps the sorbet from doing the same. Vodka is excellent to use because it doesn't affect the taste.
"Summer is my favorite time of year for fruit and produce, that’s because I live in the Northeast. One of the ingredients I look forward to cooking with is the vibrant orange blossoms of zucchini. As a child, one of my favorite recollections is of my mom frying up some zucchini blossom fritters. My brothers and I would wait anxiously to get our hands on a few. The recipe had been handed down from my great grandmother, but my mom tweaked it with her own signature touch. Zucchini plants are always a staple in our garden, and I believe, our family grew them more for the delicate blossoms then for the fruit.
Just like my mom I've given the recipe an update with my own personal touch:"
This dish brings me back to winter nights of childhood, savoring this homey creation next to a crackling fireplace. No, we didn’t live in a little house on a prairie, but I felt like we did when we ate this! In our family, this was always served with a little milk poured over the top. However, it’s also great plain or with some nondairy vanilla ice cream. Whichever way you end up, it’s simple, easy, and delicious every time!
This is a super hearty, super tasty, almost forget it's vegan, Chili. These proportions make a huge batch, probably close to 6 or 8 servings, so invite over some friends!
This amazing gourmet torte requires no cooking and can be quickly prepared in a half hour. The combination of the raspberries and the pomegranite seeds gives this dessert a unigue taste and texture. If you love red raspberries you will love this combination of fruits in this dessert even more. Your friends will think that you bought this dessert from your local gourmet pastry shop. However, due to all the natural ingredients, this dessert is better than anything you could ever buy. Enjoy.
